As someone who has actually had an LP, I'd like to add my three ha'porth.
I lay flat for the first few hours but did initially get some
headaches on turning over. I was fine the next day.
Low pressure headache caught me *totally* unsuspected 48 hours post
LP, at approximately 2pm; this resolved immediately on lying down so
I can really only incriminate the LP. I then had similar headaches at
about the same time every day until around a week post LP.
I feel that people who have had an LP should be advised to lie flat
if they get any headache in the _week_ following LP. This does not
necessarily have to be in a hospital. They should also be advised to
stay well-hydrated.
