Yes, vagal manoeuvres do work, but remember to lay the patient horizontal
to reduce as much resting sympathetic tone as possible. I then ask the
patient to hold their breath & strain as long as me - but I cheat and
breath anyway. They then hold their breath until they're absolutely
gasping. It does save a few unpleasant trips on adenosine.

Never seen 3mg doing anything! Some people say 6-12-18 (-18) mg which is
the general direction I'm heading.
I don't usually bother with vagal manoeuvres. Do they really work in the
A&E setting?
