Indeed...
Seattle has more laymen CPR
This seems to be slipping a bit
Looking forward to improve result with General Public Massage-only CPR
But the clincher it seems to be their 5 min. AED response
And just when you were getting used to the idea of EMT-Ps
Being as qualified & more efficient that MDs
Here comes even less qualified & even more efficient First responders
You have to find yourself admitting that the first responder are going to
save the majority of the Medics potential saves, with less(or as many ?)
vegetable$, some resulting opportunity of definitive care for the Pt
(Fibrinolysis, PTCA, Implantable D-Fib...) & in Bonus for good measures....
a slew of candidates arrest that would never would have stood a chance with
a 8 min ALS response.
This. if properly applied, may very well save the MD based EMSs Model ! ?
Charles Brault EMT-P
PS Bought an AED at Christmas for my parents
... hope thay never have to thank me for it.
