Hi Andy,
It's good to hear from you, welcome. Regarding wells books,
take a look at Katy's wells bibliography accessed via...
http://www.bath.ac.uk/~liskmj/wellsweb/wellsbib/wellsbibindex.htm
In my opinion, the best book to get is still Sacred Waters
by Janet and Colin Bord (Hi Janet), but it is currently out
of print unfortunately. Or if you want a rigorous
historical study rather than the Bords' folkloric
approach then The Living Stream by James Rattue is
also very good (hi James). There is a Wooden Books
publication on wells which is apparently very good (can't
remember the exact title, but they do have a website at
http://www.wooden-books.com). And i also enjoyed Secret
Shrines by Paul Broadhurst. He only looks at the Cornish
wells, but has some excellent photos.
And of course, don't forget to trawl through the Source
Online Archive at
http://www.bath.ac.uk/lispring/sourcearchive/front.htm
and take a long look at Living Spring Journal (issue 2
imminent folks - honest) - url below.
Happy reading.
