Noemi,
Good for you that you understand everything. Mel's input is quite clear and
precise IF you have a broad vocabulary, I guess (I'm not critisizing that).
In school (and other situations) I admire people who can explain difficult
matters in an easy way. People that make it a sport to say things with very
expensive words (in Holland we have a lot of them unfortunately) to impress
other people, irritate me... sorry. My motto: say your truth loud and clear,
and make it as easy understandable as possible. The world is complicated
enough as it is. In my work (our work) this is very important I think.
Isaac
PS: I make an effort to lift myself everyday: I'm Dutch, but moved to Sweden
and later to Norway. I had/have to learn 2 1/2 languages i 2 years: Swedish,
Norwegian and a bit of Danish.
Make an effort to lift yourself up, but keep it simple and take it easy,
dear Noemi.

Isaac,
I do not agree. My mother tongue is french and I I have been reading Mel's
post for almost 4 years.
I always appreciate that not only his English is quite clear and precise,
but his posts offer explanations about things that are more
"epistemological" (read clear and simple) than explanations I was offered at
university.
As my late mother said: "the slope always goes downward".
Make an effort to lift yourself up.
Make it simple but not simpler.
Noemi
