I don't think I agree so much with all the opinions about CS-therapy. I work
with COPD-patients and if I look at all the articles about lungphysiotherapy
and especially those focussing on mobilisation of secretions, it is quite
hopeless: all the big ones claim that mucusmobilisation techniques are not
better than ordinary cough. So it's all a bunch of Voodoo, right?...
It's the same discussion that we had a few weeks ago about evidence-based
practice.
I'm convinced that every patient needs an individual approach. What helps
for one patients, maybe doesn't help for the other. And with that: what is
"evidence-based" 2001, is BS in 10 years and vice versa.
And btw, what is wrong with a placebo effect? If the patient is cured what
does it really matter? Many roads lead to Rome.
Let's be open for other, less conventional approaches and don't nag "it's
not evidence based" to quickly.

Emne: Re: Cranio-Sacral Therapy
I was reading all of this discussion on craniosacral therapy and it reminded
me of something I came across while flipping channels late last night.
There was this extremely enthusiastic and charismatic televangelist who was
able to help those who have not walked to walk again, helped those who could
not hear to hear again, helped those who could not see to see again.
Wonderful what beliefs can do.
