Hi
One thing to note is that any database or map of ip addresses and their
geographic coordinates will always be largely incomplete, the reason being
that a lot of people / organisations will not want the exact geographic
location of their ip to be known, examples being large scale, secure data
centres, government centres, corporate research centres, military
installations etc. etc. As these kinds of facilities are likely to also have
very large ip blocks allocated to them, any database will have major holes
in it.
cheers

Subject: ip addresses and their geographic location
Hi
I was wondering if there is a database that correlates IP addresses to their
geographic location. I know that Akamai provides a commercial service, which
offers some of the information (country code and state code for the us).
Thanks,
Giorgio
