at present, all I can offer (beyond "text editor of your choice") are
XMetal and Emacs. In a computing service, I can probably get away with
that. If I was helping, say, the Careers Service, I'd be spending a
lot more time (and money) looking at more complex editing setups
(Epic, maybe?)
personally, I cannot conceive of life outside emacs :-}
