There is a difference between trying to teach an old dog new tricks,
and teaching something different from the start. We spend hours
training those students who have not used computers before coming
to university to use a word processor. So there is an opportunity
to teach them something different.
Once they have gone through their courses, they can be paid to
produce the department web pages, and the departmental
web co-ordinators can go and do something else.
