HTML was _never_ meant for visual presentation. that's what CSS
is for. HTML can structure content semantically (hierarchy of
headers and such) but it should not be used to force layout. tables
_should not_ be used for layout (although this is not realistic until
all browsers become standard-compliant) only for truly tabular
information. i recommend looking these issues up on the W3C
site, esp the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Guidelines.
