Applications are invited for the post of computer aided course ware
production officer.
The job will involve producing computer based teaching courseware such
as PowerPoint presentations, web based teaching notes and interactive
CAL clinical case presentations. The appointee will also be expected to
act as web master for the Departments web pages and to provide
assistance in digital image, video and audio capture and manipulation
for both teaching and research. The appointee will work within the
audio-visual support team, which comprises two photographic technicians,
and will also work closely with computer (hardware) officer and computer
support technician as all these staff must work as a team to support the
needs of the Department.
Familiarity with PC systems is essential and a knowledge of Apple
Macintosh systems is also desirable. A good knowledge and experience of
the PC operating system windows NT and software such as Microsoft word,
Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Netscape, Minitab, Adobe Photoshop, web page
production software and CAL production software packages will be
essential.
The appointee will, ideally, have a Degree or HND in a relevant subject.

Salary: 16,775 - 21,435 on Grade1 Administrative, initially, with
expectation of progression to Grade 2.
