i just explained in another email, there's unfortunately no way
around tables for layout at the moment until people stop using old
browsers.
this started out as a discussion about html and whether it's for
structure or layout and then moved to the more specific topic of
tables. to continue the argument i had to go with the strict
interpretation. since people don't think twice about accessibility
it's important to argue as a purist, although reality does not always
live up to that. one day it will and then all this knowledge will come
in handy. until then we try our best.
