Responses of request sent to Web-Support list on Content Management Systems.
As there were only six responses, I have included this report to
website-info-mgt in the hope/epectation that others are going
or have been down this road.
As I have been given the go ahead to produce a tender document,
further contributions which stop me falling into a big hole of
my own making are welcome.
Summary of responses:-
One site was already implementing an in house mySQL solution
while looking at what other products are availale.
Part of one site used a Content Management Environment to author
pages for one department - other departments had expressed
interest in using the product.
One site had looked but while products existed that might
perform the tatsks required, they were not available at the
right price.
One site knew what they wanted to do but had to get buyin from
appropriate bodies.
Two sites were reviewing the currently available products with a
view to purchase - one of these sites were looking to hire an
external consultant to perform the analysis.
