Get the picture! A One Day Seminar on the Cataloguing and Indexing of Images

Library Association, 7 Ridgmount Street, London WC1E 7AE

Monday 16 July 2001, 10.00-16.15 hrs


Due to demand, we are re-running this seminar which was held in December
2000, repeating the formula of the highly successful first 'Get the
picture!' seminar held in Edinburgh in December 1999. The programme
includes, in the morning, four case studies (the commercial picture library,
the academic slide library, the photographic library and the museum)
covering the cataloguing of image collections. The afternoon session is
devoted to indexing and classification tools for images (including ICONCLASS
and SHIC). There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss
the issues.



Fee: £65 ARLIS/UK & Ireland and CIG members,  £75 non-members, including
tea, coffee and buffet lunch.
