Dear All,
Apologies for bombarding you with calls for papers, but this will be the
last one for a while.
Call for Papers
98th Annual meeting of the Association of American Geographers, Los
Angeles, CA, 2002
Joint Session of the
Transportation Geography Specialty Group of the Association of American
Geographers
and the
Transport Geography Research Group of the Royal Geographical Society (with
the Institute of British Geographers)
Trends in the geography of mobility
The TGSG/TGRG's joint session at the 98th Annual Meeting of the AAG (March
19-23, 2002) will address the theme Trends in the Geography of Mobility.
The groups have chosen this broad topic to encourage a wide range of papers
from international researchers both within and beyond the sub-discipline of
transport geography. Speakers might wish to address issues relating to how
mobility varies across time and space, and thus how methods to manage
mobility on a range of scales also vary. It is hoped that social and
cultural aspects of travel, as well as transport, will be covered in the
session. If you would like to present a paper in this joint session, please
contact Shih-Lung Shaw ([log in to unmask]) or Jon Shaw ([log in to unmask]), the
session organisers, before July 30, 2001.
