"Transport Lessons from the Fuel Tax Protests of 2000" is a book currently
being assembled to provide as broad a guide as possible to the fuel crisis
of September 2000. Mark Beecroft and myself are writing a chapter to
summarise impacts measured by organisations and local authorities which
will supplement the more detailed behavioural investigations which make up
some of the other chapters in the book.
At present, we are looking for data on impacts on public transport
patronage, business, leisure facilities, changes in communications use and
also how organisations have changed fuel management practices as a result
of the crisis. If anyone has any references that we could follow up or any
contact details of people who might be able to help with this I would be
grateful if you could forward those on to me. We believe that a number of
small pieces of work have been carried out and it would be great if we
could capture these more formally.
Thank you for any help you are able to provide.
Best regards
Greg
