For an International Conference On
Alternative Geographies of Asia in the New Millennium
(The Second EARCAG -- Hong Kong 2001)

OBJECTIVE
This is the second meeting of East Asian Regional Conference in
Alternative Geography, after the first successfully held in Taegu,
South Korea. Its objective is to provide a forum for scholars from all
parts of the world to discuss critically geographical issues of East
Asia.
THEMES
- economic crisis and industrial restructuring
- spatialities of power
- geography and difference
- theorising the spatial configurations and built environment
- The rubric of New International Division of Labour (NIDL) and
Asian countries
- the 'cultural turns' of economic geography
- any other relevant geographical topics

REGISTRATION FEE
A registration fee of HK$400 (or US$50) per person is levied on all
participants.
ACCOMMODATION
Participants can stay at the NTT Guest House, Hong Kong Baptist
University at cost.
