Subject: reproductions of historical medical pictures


The Wellcome Library has to give away a quantity of printed color
reproductions of historical medical pictures suitable for framing or posting
on the wall.  They were prepared to accompany a traveling exhibition on
medical history, which has ceased to travel.  Each reproduction is on a
sheet of A4 size paper (approx 12 x 8 inches),  with a caption and colored
border. They come grouped in six folders titled Therapeutics; The Physician;
Disease; Medicine and Caricature; Medical Education; and Surgery.  Each
folder contains eight sheets. All the reproductions are from original
pictures in the Wellcome Library, which range from the 15th to the 20th
century.

These reproductions can be useful for signaling the existence of medical
history, for teaching purposes and for decoration, and they are available
free of charge and post-free while stocks last.  If you would like to
receive any of the folders, please send an e-mail to Sue Chapman at the
Wellcome Library (address: [log in to unmask]), including your postal
address and your e-mail address.  If you would like only specific folders,
please name those which you want (see titles above).  If you would like all
of them, please make that clear.  If you want more than one copy of any
folder, multiple copies will be sent after requests for single copies have
been satisfied (if stocks allow).
