} Does anyone here know where I could find documentation on the Mach-O object
} format as used by NeXT/MacOS X? I'm playing with writing a code generator
} for fun and I'd quite like to target MacOS X, but I can't find an
} equivalent of, say, http://www.muppetlabs.com/~breadbox/software/ELF.txt
} describing the file format.
On a NEXTSTEP 3.3 (and probably 3.x) which has the Developer documentation
package loaded, the following file probably contains what you want:
/NextLibrary/Documentation/NextDev/DevTools/14_MachO/MachO.rtf
On an OPENSTEP 4.x (again with the Developer documentation), the pathname is
/NextLibrary/Documentation/NextDev/OperatingSystem/MachObjectFiles.rtf
I imagine there's an equivalent in the Darwin/OS X developer docs (and
perhaps online somewhere at apple.com) but I haven't spotted it quickly.
