Dear Tunicaters:
This is just a small presentation to salute all of you.
I am a Mexican professor. My area of research is finding marine organisms
with interesting (active) compounds.
From time to time I do make some collections from the Gulf of California
and I had found some interesting tunicates there. The ethanolic extract of
many of them have been found active against Artemia salina, and a very
interesting work is on the way with these friends.
The problem for me arise because the collection has been preserved by
inmersion in ethanol. Since the Gulf of California is a still very poor
worked area there is always the chance for someone trained to indetify these
little fellows that I do have here and help us to make a nice work here.
Is anybody interested?.
Anyway.... I do want to say hello to all the Tunicaters here.
Sincerely
M.C. Juan Antonio Fernández
