Hi All-
I am a graduate student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography
studying the ascidian Styela plicata. In particular I am interested in
small peptides that I isolate from the hemocytes that appear to be
involved
in innate defense mechanisms. Recently I have been attempting to
PCR up
one of these octapeptides but have been unsucessful, probably due to
the
molecules small size and lack of good primers. I was curious if you or
any
of your associated colleagues had in your posession a cDNA library of
Styela plicata, preferably made from pharyngeal basket tissue. If so, I
would like to probe this library to see if I can find my peptide of
interest. Thanks for your time and I hope you can help! Apologies to
all who have already seen this request.
Sincerely,
Andy Tincu
