Below the scabbed and arid hills
the blue sea strolls over
white sand spinning black sand
in its long fingers,
Arthur, perhaps the best read I've had on the boards in days. So much to
say: The turn to 9-11 a surprise which works well. The voice stays clean
and true. Love the shade of Rumi in the middle.
You might cut a couple of words (a the here and there) but on this one I
will not nit.
The title? Stronger?
Almost bought a book on fractals at the Book Fair. You make me wish I had,
but I did get Armstrong's The Battle for God, which your poem also echoes.
Thanks very much.
