What fun Grassy! Though unnecessarily hard to read IMHO. Below I fiddle
with the punctuation. Oh yeah, and invert a stress, and find a missing line
(as one does on these occassions):
That
sepia breadth of a Celtic bog
with centuries of mattressed peat;
moss fruiting on a goblin's log,
the distant plash of joggers' feet.
Triassic ferns, quick slick of frog,
dim memories of earth in heat;
deep autumn hedginess of hog
and musty pleats of unaired sheet.
Compote of grass, tendrilled fog,
two shakes of salt, one glob of meat;
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *eet
That's the smell of a big wet dog.
Hope some of this is some use. bw, John
