Is this a Kilmarnock ornamental willow? - (for those unfamiliar with the
Kilmarnockl, it is a small tree that looks like a cross between a weeping
willow and a pussy willow?)
In which case the 'cat o'nine tails' image is not only visual (the long
trailing branches of the weeping willow) but also a neat pun!
