Cara May
Thanks.
"Are you contemplating a poem on the four year-olds being marched to school
under police surveillance in Belfast?"
Nope

Mick, I think poetry of this type can really live a
long time in the imagination. There's one about
Tienaman(?) Square which frequently comes in to my
mind and sends cold shivers down my spine. Perhaps the
problem is that it reinforces the attitudes of those
already open and sensitive to the issues rather than
making any converts but there's always the young.
As for the writing of your poem. I feel a little as
though I am being taken by the lapels and told things
and I feel a little irritated by the lower case for
'Pacific'.
As for the topic I think the captain and crew of the
Norwegian ship are the only ones to emerge well.
Are you contemplating a poem on the four year-olds
being marched to school under poliece surveillance in
Belfast?
I'm sure this one would be excellent if tightened up.
