Meanwhile at Dogwood Bay
The brick-layers were washed overboard
by waves higher than a chimney cap.
They broke over the mantle and up
the flue at the speed of quick-dry cement.
The carpenters mounted the soffit,
hammers and saws cocked and ready.
The electrician tangled in #12 wire,
and colorblind confused white with green.
The foreman shouted, "Avast! Ahoy!
More hod to shore up the batteries."
The contractor scampered for safety,
his tailored suit splattered with salt spray.
The plumber groused, "Shiver-me-timbers!
Prentice installed the flush backwards again."
