Hi Folks,
Here's a fun exercise I've been toying with - the key word here being
"fun." I call this a Triple Triolet w/Tercet and it's kind-of
Halloweenish.
The nitty-gritty: 3 triolets concluding with a tercet which repeats the
5th line of each previous triolet.
I know a lot of you don't care for rhymed/repetitious poetry, but I like
to fool around with stuff like this...as I said, for the fun of it. C&C
appreciated as always.

Resurrection
(A Tri-Triolet w/tercet)
Autumn arrives on a copper clad cloud,
whispers secrets under the door.
There are no phone calls, nor letters allowed.
Autumn comes swift on a copperhead cloud,
its long-necked back gracefully bowed
slips quietly over the floor.
Autumn arrives on a copper-eyed cloud,
whispers secrets under the door.
No one is home. A loose shudder bangs
and silky webbed windows shine blind.
Leaves clutter the porch where an old swing hangs.
No one is here and the black shudder bangs.
Broken glass beckons and sharpens its fangs.
A mattress that rodents will find.
Nobody's home so the shudder still bangs,
the spider-webbed windows are blind.
The attic is waiting in patient gray gloom,
aware that the time's drawing near;
a couple will come, a bride and bridegroom.
The attic is waiting in thick, dusty gloom
intent on renewal; a womb from a tomb,
resurrection of shadow and fear.
The attic keeps waiting in silent dark gloom
and knows that the time's drawing near.
Its long-necked back gracefully bows,
broken glass beckons; sharpens its fangs,
intent on renewal - a womb from a tomb.
