Definitely needed for a long-term solution. In the meantime, it is
worth noting that OS 9.1 finally added Memory Mapping routines to the
API. That's been the main hold up so far. Anyone have a sense how
much work it would take to recompile the binary code for the Mac, now
that Memory Mapping is available? If nothing else, I was thinking
I'd like to get a baby SPM running on our iMacs for the undergrads to
fool with in my lab course.
