The Max Planck Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience in Leipzig, Germany,
announces the availability of a
Ph.D. student position
for two years, starting November 1, 2001.

Salary: BAT-O IIa/2 (i.e., ca. 1700 DM per month)
The position is funded by a grant of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
The project investigates cognitive functions and their neurological
correlates with the specific focus on performance monitoring and error
processing.
Successful candidates will join a multi-disciplinary research team where
they will plan, perform, and analyze cognitive experiments using functional
magnetic resonance imaging and event-related brain potentials.
Candidates should have a degree in psychology, biology, medicine or a
biophysics. Experiences with psychophysiological / neuroimaging methods and
knowledge of statistics are of advantage.
