We need some help with the analysis of data derived from a sparse sampling
design. We read the discussion about the analysis of sparse sampling design
data on the SPM mailing list from last year but there are still some
unsolved questions and hopefully somebody has an idea.
We have a sparse sampling design (auditory task) with a TR of 17. For
analysis, we used a block design with the basis function “mean and
exponential decay” and we didn’t convolve with the HRF like Karl Friston
suggested. The problem is that the resulting design matrix still indicates
a very prominent signal decay in the last half of each block. Is there any
other way to model this?
We also tried to use a PET-Model but there is no way to include a high-pass
filter in such a model.
Has anyone experience with the analysis of sparse sampling designs in SPM?
