I wrote the 'cbuhacked' csv scripting version of spm_spm_ui.m in 1999,
based on version 2.26 of spm_spm_ui.m in the spm99b release of SPM.
My experience is that this modification of som_spm_ui.m runs with
spm99/Matlab5 and spm99/Matlab6 on both Unix and PC systems. If you are
however experiencing difficulties then please send me details of error
messages and the csv file.
*** It is of course necessary to ensure that the directory in which the
'cbuhacked' version of spm_spm_ui.m is placed is positioned in Matlab's
directory path so that it masks the official spm99 version of
spm_spm_ui.m. This can be tested by typing:
>> which spm_spm_ui.m
at the Matlab prompt.
I hope shortly to make available (via the MRC-CBU's Imaging website) a
'cbuhacked' edition of the latest version 2.33 of spm_spm_ui.m in the
official spm99 distribution. It is being tested at the moment and
notification of its release will be made to this list. One minor
enhancement has been incorporated: a check is made whether SPM is
running on a Windows/Unix machine and changes back/forward slashes in
filenames accordingly. This simplifies changes needed when accessing
the same datafiles from different platforms.
A parallel modified version of spm_fmri_spm_ui.m is being prepared and
will be released in September extending the same scripting
functionality to SPM fMRI analyses.
