Functional MRI and Computational Neuroanatomy
(Research Fellow or Research Associate Level)
The Brain Imaging Laboratory, Departments of Psychiatry and Radiology at
Dartmouth Medical School, Lebanon, New Hampshire USA seeks a research
fellow or staff member with technical skills and interest in analysis and
integration of fMRI, morphometric MR and diffusion tensor data in the
context of clinical studies. The candidate would join a multidisciplinary
team and would be expected to participate in ongoing funded fMRI and
morphometric studies including early Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain
injury, MS, epilepsy, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, OCD and PTSD. The
overarching theme of this research program is an emphasis on neural
substrates of memory systems dysfunction and treatment response (see
http://synapse.hitchcock.org). The Dartmouth campus is located in a
beautiful area of mountains, rivers and lakes in Northern New England (2
hour drive from Boston and 3 hours from Montreal).
Requirements: training in neuroscience, computer science, engineering or
other relevant field; commitment to brain imaging research; strong
programming and scripting skills, including Matlab and SPM automation, are
priorities (experience with C, Tcl/Tk, AVW, database software, fMRI
stimulus delivery/response recording software would be advantageous);
Strong aural and written communication skills are also required.
