Dear community,
Some of you working in the field of memory may be interested in a
workshop that we are holding in Liverpool (UK) immediately following
HBM2001. The workshop is an informal meeting designed to focus mainly
on discussion rather than numerous presentations. As a result, we are
limiting the number of participants. However, we have a few places
available for anyone in the field who is interested. Please see the
details below. If you are interested please send a personal
email (i.e., not an spm list email) to Daniela Montaldi at
the following email address:
[log in to unmask]
There are only a limited number of places left so don't delay your
response if you are keen.
The cost of the meeting is £200 covering registration, hotel
accommodation (two nights) and all meals and refreshments.
Regards
Liverpool Memory Symposium
--------------------------
The dates of the symposium are 15th June to 17th June pm.
The aim is to bring together for discussion some lesion and some
functional neuroimaging studies within a number of focused sessions:
1) Methods session (covering structural and functional MRI and
flatmapping and ERP, focusing on what we really can and can't do at
present and what we should be able to do in the near future).
2) Familiarity and recollection/Item and associative memory.
3) Recent and remote memory.
4) Priming.
There will be a number of presentations (each covering either lesion
or functional neuroimaging or both) for each session, followed by
plenty of time (one and a half hours) for a good discussion. The
meeting size will be limited to 50 people to ensure that it fulfills
its purpose which is to encourage discussion regarding the
interaction between the different approaches.
Contributors include: Mick Rugg, Paul Fletcher, Rik Henson, Anthony
Wagner, Mike Kopelman, Cheryl Grady, Alex Martin, Narinder Kapur,
Neil Roberts, Eleanor Maguire, Robin Morris, Michael Zeineh, Ken
Paller, Andrew Mayes, Katarina Henke, and others.
