If you only need the buttons, then there is a quick way to do it.
Hook up a 4066 in parallel to the mouse buttons and use a non magnetic
button-device in the MR scanner. These switches then supply +5V to the
chip, which makes the mouse "think" that a button has been pressed.
We use this a lot.
If you need the ball, then there should be an easy fiberoptic way, as the
mouse mechanic works via LED and photodiode.
However I do not think there is a supplier...
