Dear SPM group:
I am sorry if I missed any response to my previous mail on 3/2, but I did
not have any in fact.
Please allow me to post my request for help again (Below) and sorry for
bothering if myt question is too basic.
==========
I read the paper of Friston et al. NeuroImage 1999; 10: 385.
"Multisubject fMRI studies and conjuntion analysis", and I have 8 subjects
each have one session. I assumed that we should use uncorrected p < 0.05
to include the 8 sessions and I did get a map.
However, what is the threshold should we use to get "activation foci"
I.E., should we use corrected or uncorrected p? For a foci of A Priori, e.g.
ACC in Pain study, Is it acceptable to use "uncorrected p < 0.05" to report
the activation foci?
In the example of the above paper, the authors seem to please to see LGN
activation by "corrected p < 0.001" Does it mean that we MUST use correction
to report the result by this approach?
Any advice is deeply appreciated.
1.
Cheers
Ming-Ting
