How large should your blobs be? There is a minor bug in some parts of
the display where the outside surface of the blobs gets eroded away.
With tiny blobs, this may mean the whole blob is lost.
This effect is because of the way the data is interpolated. Trilinear
interpolation is used by default. In SPM99, sampling a point using
trilinear interpolation where any of the neighbouring voxels is unspecified
(NaN) results in the value at the sampled point being unspecified, and
therefore not displayed.
When the blob images are thresholded, only voxels above the threshold have
finite values. Voxels below this value are set to NaN.
If this is the case, I have just put a fix for this problem in the usual
patches directory.
