Hello-
SPM only reads Analyze and ECAT formats. Most scanners store data either in
DICOM format or in a proprietary format. A list of free software that will
convert images to SPM-friendly Analyze format is at:

As a first guess, I would assume your images are in DICOM format. So try
one of the DICOM converters. If these fail, try seeing if any of the
software packages support your scanner.
If this fails, do not despair. Most medical images are saved as raw images,
and it is often possible to describe the data by creating your own *.hdr
file. This may require setting a byte "offset" that describes when the
image data begins in your scans. Most likely, all of your images have the
same format, so you will only have to work this out once:
