I'm afraid there is no detailed description anywhere. If I was to try the
procedure, I would:
Coregister PET to match T1 (don't reslice).
Segment the T1
Use the brain extraction option to clean up the grey matter partition
Use ImCalc, select _seg1, _seg2 and brain_, and evaluate the
following expression: i3.*i1./(i1+i2+eps)
Estimate spatial normalisation params from the cleaned up grey matter
by matching it to the apriori/grey.img (disable brain masking)
Apply these params to both the PET and T1 images
Smooth the output (by about 12mm)
Do the stats, with proportional scaling looking for interactions
between modality and group, like (PET_1 - PET_2) - (GM_1 - GM_2)
