I'd like to echo Karsten's comments. It may be that nothing is seriously wrong
(although I didnt understand exactly what you have done to the files in medx).
Sometimes, especially if you have previously quit out of a dialog box (such as the
file chooser), you will get an error message after SPM has successfully completed
its statistics estimation. As long as it has written the files you need, you can
probably just ignore it! Exiting and restarting SPM might also be something you can
try.
If the above doesn't help, can you tell us exactly what was done in medX?
I know you emailed the list in a fit of extreme frustration, but for what its worth,
I find SPM excellent for importing and exporting data to/from other programs, and
the authors (and others) have certainly helped me integrate SPM data into my own
visualisation software. So, definitely no conspiracy!
I've definitely had days like yours though....
Good luck,
Krish
