DOCTORAL POSITION IN POSITRON EMISSION TOMOGRAPHY
A Postdoctoral position is available immediately for 6 to 12 month for
an individual with a background in mathematics, or biological
modelling, and an interest in interdisciplinary research on brain
function. This MRC funded research program investigates endogenous
neurotransmitter release using positron emission tomography. The
successful candidate will be responsible for the development of a model
to calculate binding of 11C-diprenorphine to opioid-receptors.
The work will be carried out in the Cyclotron Unit of the MRC Clinical
Sciences Centre at the Hammersmith Hospital. He/she will be responsible
for developing and validating the model in a large data-set consisting
of multiple investigations in patients and controls. Experience with
the modeling of dynamic PET data is highly desired.
