Postdoctoral Position in Nonlinear Optical and Time-Resolved Spectroscopy
of Organic Macromolecules in the Laboratory of Professor T. Goodson III at
Wayne State University, Department of Chemistry
A postdoctoral assistant position is available for a highly motivated and
enthusiastic scientist in the area of nonlinear optical and time-resolved
properties of organic macromolecular materials. This position is in the
physical chemistry department at Wayne State University under the
direction of Professor Theodore Goodson III. A candidate (with a Ph.D. in
related area) is sought to investigate molecular interactions in polymers
and dendrimers using nanosecond and femtosecond nonlinear optical and
time-resolved techniques. Experience with nanosecond laser and detection
schemes is highly desired. The applicant should also have some experience
with polymeric thin-film sample preparation. Any synthetic experience
will be given extra consideration in connection with strong skills in
optics and lasers of nanosecond and femtosecond systems. Please send a
Full CV and arrange for three letters of recommendation for full
consideration of this project. A letter describing your experience and
skills must accompany the other materials. This can be sent via email to
