Hi Sea-siters,
Another good system we have used is the Seaflex mooring system developed in
Sweden. It uses a screw anchor (eliminating need for concrete blocks and
chain - good for seagrass or sensitive areas eg; wrecksite) and a shock
absorbing Seaflex system with mid water flotation buoy (comfortable riding
in choppy seas) hooked up to a hawser and surface mooring buoy.
They are also easily removeable and all that remains visible on the bottom
is 10cm of stainless steel bar of the screw anchor protruding from the
seabed. We have two 10m from either side of the hull of the wreck so we
could moor bow and stern over the site. I imagine it could be easily
configured to have a grapple line.
regards
Ross
