THEME
The Conference on non-prescriptive approaches to managing fatigue,
follows from the Fourth Conference on Fatigue in Transportation held in
Fremantle in 2000. Recommendations from that meeting concluded that
prescriptive work hours were not the appropriate solution to fatigue
management. Other causes of fatigue needed to be addressed in effective
fatigue management systems.
