The MSC DECISION SCIENCES provides a balanced study which concentrates on
the following three objectives:
(i) the development of modelling and problem solving skills
(ii) the study of the context within which decision-making takes place
(iii) the development of computing skills.
It explicitly addresses the factors that influence the practical success of
using decision aiding technologies in business and industry.

Subjects studied:
Operational research/Statistics including linear, network and dynamic
programming; discrete and multi-objective optimisation; inventory and
project management; decision analysis and simulation; management accounting;
financial modelling (optional);
Business/Management: corporate strategy, change and innovation; database
systems (Oracle); C++ (optional); etc.

Who should apply:
Anybody with an honours Degree or equivalent in a subject with significant
quantitative element e.g. science, engineering, geography, economics,
business studies, plus some experience in use of computers - Job experience
may be substituted for formal educational requirements.
