READER/PROFESSOR OF MEDICAL STATISTICS
Applications are invited for a Readership or Chair of Medical Statistics,
tenable after 1 October 2001 in the Department of Statistical Science,
University College London.
Applicants should have an excellent record of leadership in research. The
person appointed to the Readership/Chair will carry out and coordinate
research in medical statistics including the development of both appropriate
methodology and innovative applications, and will contribute to the teaching
of courses in medical statistics and general statistical theory and
applications. Within the Department, there will be opportunities to
collaborate with others working in medical statistics as well as in related
research areas such as probabilistic expert systems and epidemic
modelling. Development of collaborative research programmes with the
Medical School and other UCL Departments is encouraged.
