You are invited to participate in the Organizational Foresight
Conference
held in Scotland.
The conference marks the establishment of two new research
centres at the University of Strathclyde Graduate School of
Business: the Centre for Scenario Planning and Future Studies,
and the Centre for Strategic Learning and Knowledge.
The conference venue will be the University of Strathclyde Graduate
School of Business, 199 Cathedral Street, Glasgow G4 0QU (tel:
+44-141-5536000). There is a limit of 70 participants. The
conference organizers are Haridimos Tsoukas, Professor of
Organization Theory and Behaviour, and Jill Shepherd, Research
Fellow, both at the University of Strathclyde, Graduate Busi ness of
Business. Oxford University Press is strongly interested in
publishing a book with selected papers from the conference.
Authors should submit a 500 word abstract via e-mail to both
Haridimos Tsoukas ([log in to unmask]) and Jill Shepherd
([log in to unmask]) by 30 September 2001. All
abstracts must be submitted as Word documents.
Furthermore, file names must follow the following format:
'Surname of first author' foresight 2002.doc e.g. Smith foresight
2002.doc. Lastly, all abstracts must contain on the first page a
title, authors names, addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail
addr esses.
Notification of acceptance will be sent by 30 October 2001. Papers
should be submitted to both conference organizers by 30 May
2002. Information about the call for papers, registration and
accommodation as well as updates and the final programme will be
posted on the conference web site
