Dear All,
Please forgive the stupid question of an overseas observer. I just coudn't
come across any information on the subject.
As the British railway system developed as a combination of various private
companies (which used to keep separate booking offices at various joint
stations), buying the combined ticket for several companies' trains must
have long been a problem. Was the joint booking for the whole network
introduced only when the BR was created or was it introduced well before?
Thanks for help.
