Dear all, Please excuse my intrusion - I am a silent viewer of this forum and
was interested to see AJ Heywood's note of 12 July. Professionally, I am
involved in aviation reinsurance but a semi professional/private interest
relates as to whether high speed rail can replace air travel on some short haul
routes. I presented a brief paper to the "Aviation2001 Internet" conference
held earlier this year on the subject (that being said, I do not pretend to be
more than an "enthusiastic amateur"). If it's not too much of an impertinence
and since I am always on the lookout for any new sources of info. on this
subject, I wonder whether anyone might be aware of any publications etc. that
specifically address this subject please? Once again, I hope you won't think
I'm being impertinent (or a nuisance) - thank you
M. Robinson
