I am trying to find information on the geometric design and layout of Lentz
rotary cam valve gear (particularly that used on LNER Hunt Class D49
locomotives). I am particularly interested in the design geometry that
enabled the valve followers to climb between cut-off lobes and the reverse.
Any information on any published info (papers etc.) or any info on
Associated Locomotive Engineers who were agents for lentz gear that may give
some leads will be gratefully received.
