The Department of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) at Southampton
University is one of the largest and most successful departments in UK with
acknowledged international research excellence in both Electronics (5*
rated) and Computer Science (5 rated). ECS is a lively, diverse,
research-led department with around 200 academic and research staff.
The Declarative Systems and Software Engineering Research Group is one of
nine research groups in ECS. This Group wishes to make three new
appointments of Research Fellows to work on research projects in Critical
Systems and Systems Integration. Appointments will be full time and will be
for two or three years. Salary will be in the range of £16775 to £25213 per
annum, according to age, qualifications and experience.
The projects are 'Automated Validation of Business Critical Systems' and
'Reasoning about Information Consistency'. Candidates should have a PhD, or
equivalent experience, and research skills in Software Engineering,
Distributed Systems, Formal Methods or Systems Integration.
